JFT is for asynchronous file transfer between two PC's running MS-DOS and/or
Windows XP, 2000, NT, 95, 98/ME, or 3.1X. JFT is for the user who has valuable
data and must communicate from anywhere in the world. JFT does not need any of
the modem's error correction or data compression functions and is protocol and
error protected from initial link until disconnected. File transfer throughput
will vary with modem speed and phone line errors. Error control is accomplished
using a 32-bit CRC check to insure no transmission errors even with every data
packet being damaged on noisy communication lines. Wall clock throughputs of
over 216,000 bytes per minute can be achieved on phone lines with the new V.34
(33.6kbps) modems and 90,000 bytes per minute with the V.32bis (14.4 kbps)
modems. JFT is Inmarsat M, Mini-M, & B low speed data ready with
configurations for terminal setup. JFT is also ISDN ready with configurations
for the popular terminal adapters from Motorola and Adtran. ISDN 128k bonded
throughputs will transfer a 1-megabyte file in one minute and forty-four
seconds. Inmarsat and cellular radio have shown consistent rates from 50,000 to
80,000 bytes per minute. A single user version will link with all systems. A
host sight version with unlimited "user copies" that only talk to the
central host system is available. Can be auto piloted using batch files and can
run totally unattended in both send and receive modes for polling applications.
Can be bridged to internal networks (WIN, DOS or UNIX), as a communications
gateway to get E-MAIL to locations your standard vendors cannot support. All
communications software programs are not created equal verify the features and
performance before you buy. The software demos below are "Slave"
copies and only communicate with the "Master" host copy at Comspec

The JFT test number is 903-586-0301 a Motorola 3260 V.34 modem is on that line.
