We specialize in difficult voice grade analog communications primarily using the domestic and international public switched telephone network. We have extensive experience in data communication on public and private digital and analog services including the following:

Our background lies extensively in the use of common voice circuits for medium speed data communications, 2,400 to 33,600 bits per second. We are specialists on setup and control of analog modems and in getting performance out of circuits on which others fail to communicate. Inmarsat low and high-speed data is our specialty.

Comspec DP has a digital satellite simulator with data rates from 1200 bps to 2.048 megabits and satellite delays to ten seconds. Impairments can be added to degrade the line with bit, burst, block, and frame errors, timing slips, error seconds fixed, error seconds random, and manual timing slips and bit errors. We can simulate the Inmarsat "A" & "B" 56 and 64 Kbps links including typical errors and link drops without the expensive $ 10.00 per minute satellite time.

We can stop the multivendor finger-pointing process. Comspec DP satellite simulator can be rented for specific customer testing with or without our consulting service.

Over the past seventeen- (17) years Comspec Digital Products has supplied consulting services and equipment to major oil companies and oil field service companies worldwide. Consulting services not involving test equipment (i.e. training, installations, data communication seminars, site surveys and system reviews) is $75.00 per hour or $600.00 per day domestic onshore, $100.00 per hour or $800.00 per day domestic offshore or international.

Consulting services with test equipment provided by Comspec DP, at your facilities in the field, (i.e. data circuit testing and verification, modem testing and evaluation, site installation and communications link set-up and testing) is $100.00 per hour or $800.00 per day domestic onshore; $125.00 per hour or $1000.00 per day offshore or international.

Comspec test equipment and facilities rental at Comspec office, Jacksonville, Texas, assuming no consulting services or support, is $50.00 per hour or $400.00 per day and $75.00 per hour or $600.00 per day with our help. Discounts for longer-term use are available.

The above prices are in U.S. dollars and assume all travel and actual expenses are paid by client. Domestic travel is coach class. International travel is business class to Europe, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, New Zealand and Australia and first class on all legs to third world locations. Times are based on portal to portal, Comspec Digital Products Jacksonville, TX. Client provides Comspec DP with a prepaid round trip ticket to destination and one half of the expected consulting days prior to departure.
